VISITATION TO THE NEPAL EMBASSY IN MALAYSIA 10.05.2011

PAPA was invited to the Nepal Embassy in Malaysia to meet up with the Ambassador to discuss on the possibility of allowing Nepalese women from coming to work in Malaysia as Domestic Helpers. We are happy that the Government of Nepal is interested and would like to hear how we can bring them in and how while in Malaysia, they will be accorded protection and safety.

PAPA has put forward a few suggestions on the possibility of allowing the Nepalese women to work here as there are also many Employers who may want to employ them. PAPA will also introduce a comprehensive protect mechanism to protect them and to manage their welfare collective as a group. And Mr. Jeffery has stressed that, we can only do that if the Embassy would only deal with PAPA so that we can manage our members. The proposals presented were well received.
